Ginaccio

Di solito quando decidiamo di prenderci del tempo per noi stessi facciamo qualcosa che differisce totalmente o almeno parzialmente da ciò che facciamo come lavoro. Il mio lavoro è diverso e questo è uno dei motivi per cui lo amo così tanto. Essere un art director ed un graphic designer mi ha permesso di esplorare ogni aspetto della vita poichè la grafica è ovunque.

Usually when we decide to take some time for ourselves we do something that differs totally or at least partially from what we do as our job.

My job is different and this is one of the reasons I love it so much. Being an Art director, a graphic designer let me explore every aspect of my life as graphic design is everywhere.

Tornando al tema principale di questo articolo, mi sono appena ricordato che non ti ho detto che cos’è questo hobby ovvero l’aviazione in generale e la simulazione di volo. Sin da ragazzino dopo aver visto il film “Top Gun” al cinema con mio padre e mia sorella negli anni ’90, ho iniziato a chiedermi come sarebbe stata una vita da pilota militare.

Going back to one of my hobbies I just remembered that I haven’t told you what this hobby is: It is aviation in general and flight-simming.

Since when I was just a kid after watching “Top Gun” movie at the cinema with my dad and my sister back in the 90’s I started wondering how a life as a military pilot would have been.

Il tempo è quindi passato e dentro di me è cresciuta un’anima più pacifica, così ho abbandonato ogni sogno di diventare un pilota da combattimento, ma non ho mai smesso di guardare al di sopra di me verso il cielo. L’aviazione è un mondo complesso fatto di sognatori che pensavano che volare non fosse solo possibile, ma un’avventura e un’opportunità! Il sogno di volare è nato probabilmente non appena l’uomo ha visto un uccello sfuggire dal pericolo librandosi in volo, ma la storia vera è iniziata il 17 dicembre 1903. I fratelli Wright fanno il primo volo controllato e pilotano un vero aeroplano azionato da un motore.

Time passed and inside me grew a more peaceful soul so I quit any dream of becoming a combat pilot but I never stopped looking above me at the sky. Aviation is a complex world made of dreamers who thought that flying was not just possible but an adventure and an opportunity! The dream of flying born probably as soon as man looked at a bird running away from a danger but the story started on the 17th of December 1903. The Wright Brothers made the first controlled flight piloting a real airplane propelled by an engine.

Ora è il 2017 ed in poco più di cento anni l’aviazione ha fatto più passi avanti di qualsiasi altra disciplina in termini di tecnologia e risultati. Testiamo aeroplani che volano dalla terra allo spazio e indietro ed io nel frattempo mi posso felicemente accontentare di molto meno: un PC e un simulatore di volo. Grazie a questo posso raggiungere il cielo, parlare e condividere la mia passione con altre persone e molto altro! Hai mai ascoltato ciò che i piloti e i controllori di volo si dicono? Bene, il web può soddisfare questa curiosità! Basta controllare questo sito e ascoltare cosa succede, per esempio, sopra Zurigo a 30.000 piedi!

È solo questione di fantasia e passione e questi sono probabilmente gli ingredienti più importanti della mia vita! Personalmente ora preferisco l’aviazione civile e provo a simulare d’essere un pilota di alcune delle più popolari compagnie aeree di tutto il mondo, in Europa ma soprattutto in Italia! Questo video è stato realizzato utilizzando lo stesso software che utilizzo io: Prepar3d della Lockheed Martin. Uno straordinario software che ricrea il mondo intero con le sue montagne, città, fiumi, laghi e, naturalmente, gli aeroporti! Essendo comunque io un graphic designer, grazie alle mie capacità ho quindi deciso di realizzare alcune livree custom di varie compagnie aeree e qui ti mostro uno dei miei ultimi lavori: Alitalia 2015 per l’espansione A320X di Flightsim Labs. Un modulo che riproduce uno degli aeroplani più famosi e di successo del mondo: l’Airbus A320

Now it’s 2017 and in a little more then a hundred years aviation has as many steps forward as anything other in terms of technology and achievements. Now we are testing airplanes that fly from the earth to the space and back and in the mean time I settle for less: a PC and a flight simulator. Thanks to this I can reach the sky, talk and share my passion with other people and more! Have you ever listened to what pilots and flight controllers say to each other? It is just a matter of fantasy and passion and these are probably the most important ingredients of my life!

Personally now I prefer civil aviation and try to simulate me being a pilot of some of the most popular Airlines all over the world especially above Europe and of course Italy !

Thanks to my skills I then decided to make some customs Airlines liveries and let me show you one of my latest jobs: Alitalia 2015 for the Flightsim Labs A320X module. A module that reproduces one of the most famous and commercially successful airplane in the world: The Airbus A320

Questo velivolo è bellissimo e sicuramente se hai preso più di 2 voli nella tua vita ti ci sei seduto dentro. Vi ho fatto molti viaggi a bordo e personalmente è il mio preferito, quello che vorrei volare se fossi un vero pilota, anche se nel frattempo mi diverto a pilotarlo durante il mio tempo libero a casa spassandomela con i miei amici! La passione è passione e essere un grafico significa che amo il mio lavoro quindi per favore lascia che ti presenti la livrea che ho realizzato!

This bird is beautiful and surely if you have taken more than 2 flights in your life you have seated in it. I have made a lot of trips on board of it and personally it is my favorite one, the one I would like to fly if I was a real pilot, but I’m not so I just have fun piloting it during my spare time at home with great fun! But well you know passion is passion and being a graphic designer means that I love my job so please let me introduce to you the livery I’ve made!
